Admission prices

In addition to the session cost, admission charges apply to all visitors without Education Group Membership.

  • House and gardens: child £5, adult £10
  • Gardens only: child £3.40, adult £6.80

We ask that groups book at least a fortnight in advance. To find out more please call 01643 823006 or email liz.summers@nationaltrust.org.uk


We offer learning sessions for pupils from EYFS to Key Stage 2. From trying on chainmail to helping Cook in the kitchen, we have a variety of programmes to inspire and entertain your group.

KS3 and post-16

We have a range of sessions suitable for KS2, KS3 and post-16 groups. We will also work with you to develop tailor-made tours on a variety of subjects.

English language schools

If you would like to bring an English language school to Dunster Castle please contact the Learning Officer in advance.


Dunster Castle offers a wide range of family-friendly events and activities throughout the year where you can learn together. This includes Have-a-go Archery, Wild Wednesdays and Civil War weekends.
