50 things

Have you heard about the National Trust's list of 50 things to do before you're 11¾?

It's all about getting outdoors and trying all sorts of fun, simple things that just about anyone can do. Here at Dyrham Park, you can fly a kite, hunt for bugs, discover what's in a pond and more.

Family trail

The Journey of discovery trail will take you from the car park through open parkland, lime avenues and wooded areas past a series of intricate wooden sculptures - including an eagle, a rattlesnake and a baby deer. There's things to do at each one.

Hollow Ways natural play

Hollow Ways natural play area is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth heading to. Based in a small woodland, it features a range of natural play creations including a giant see-saw. It's also a great place to build dens.

Old Lodge family area

Old Lodge picnic and play area in the park is a great place to let the kids run around. It's a safe place to enjoy natural play, with an under 5s and an under 10s area full of balancing beams, towers to climb and tractors to drive.
