Group bookings at our Lakes campsites

Hoathwaite group field
Hoathwaite group field National Trust / David Hamer

We can take bookings for organised groups such as Scouts, Duke of Edinburgh award groups and schools at Low Wray, Great Langdale and Hoathwaite campsites. To preserve the quiet nature of our sites, we are unable to accept large family and friend groups - sorry.

Campsites overview

Low Wray Campsite

A large spectacularly located campsite on the quiet western shore of Windermere, ideal for groups wishing to sail or canoe on the lake.

Unfortunately, bookings cannot be taken for groups during the school summer and bank holidays.

Great Langdale Campsite

At the head of the Great Langdale Valley, ideal for groups who wish to tackle the high fells - fell walking, ghyll scrambling and rock climbing are the main activities on your doorstep. Many of the climbing crags are within easy walking distance, with a vast variety of single and multi pitch routes for beginners to experts. The campsite is open all year round and is an excellent base for some spectacular winter mountaineering routes.

Hoathwaite Campsite

Beautifully located on the shore of Coniston Water, the lower lake shore field at Hoathwaite is designated for groups. Ideal for watersports and walking activities.

Wasdale Campsite

The campsite sits in a dramatic location at the head of Wastwater. We are able to take groups of up to 15 people, but due to the size and nature of the site, organised groups can only be accommodated during our low season.

Like Great Langdale, Wasdale is open all year round and is an excellent base for winter mountaineering routes.
