Fell foot – experience the views

What better way to experience the Lake District than with a duck’s eye view from the lake? Between April and October, you can hire one of our four-seater rowing boats and spend a relaxing hour or two exploring Lake Windermere and the River Leven. Take in the beauty of the lake and enjoy uninterrupted views of the surrounding fells.

Lake Cruises and our friends on 't'other side

From Fell Foot you can take the ferry across to Lakeside, where you'll find the southern terminus of Windermere Lake Cruises and the access point for steamers up the lake. There's also The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway and The Aquarium of the Lakes, and the Lakeside Hotel. Ferries run every half hour, 10.10am to 5.10pm (except in winter). You can take 30-minute mini cruises around the southern end of the lake at 1.10 and 3.10pm.
