We have plenty to keep the kids occupied at Florence Court - take a special children's tour with the nanny, and discover the 3rd earl's fascinating fossil collection.

Children's tour

See the whole Cole family celebrate as their young son, Arthur is 'breeched', the important occasion where a boy would wear trousers for the very first time. Join our interactive children's tour and discover what it was like to grow up at Florence Court, and how the family celebrated special occasions. The tour is set in the 1850s, Nanny Elliott will take groups around the house to see the preparations for the party. You'll be able to stop off for a Victorian story in the newly opened children's White Bedroom, and play with some Victorian toys. Pop into visitor reception for tour times and availability.

Rock Hound Room

Once you have finished the tour, head to the Rock Hound Room for more Victorian themed fun. The 3rd earl had a passion for collecting fossil fish, and Florence Court once housed a huge collection of 20,000 fossils belonging to the 3rd earl. In this room you can learn more about his hobby and have a go at some fun fossil related activities.

Children's tours are available daily at 1.45pm in July and August (time subject to change, please call 028 6634 8249 to check availability before travelling). Rock Hound Room is open daily throughout the season.
