Donating to specific appeals or properties
If you would like to make a donation to a particular property or appeal, just let us know in your letter and we will ensure that your donation goes where you want it to.
Benches
In the past benches have been a very popular way of remembering a loved one or marking a birthday or anniversary, as a result we have had to limit the number of benches we allow at each property, to avoid their over use. If we cannot find you a spot for a bench we would always try to provide you with alternatives such as kissing gates, footpath restoration, stiles and gates that might be of interest to you. Please either contact the property directly or the national coordinator Aletta Welensky on 01793 818 576 or aletta.welensky@nationaltrust.org.uk
Plaques
To preserve the natural beauty of our countryside properties and gardens and the integrity of the designs behind our parks and gardens, we do not, in general allow plaques. We hope you will understand why we have made this decision. As an alternative many of our properties have memorial books in which your donation can be recorded in perpetuity.
In celebration
If you have an upcoming event such as a wedding, christening, birthday or anniversary and rather than receiving gifts you would like your friends and family to make a donation to the National Trust, please do get in touch.
These gifts make a real and lasting difference to some of our nation’s most beautiful landscapes and spectacular heritage. Whether you would like to restore foot paths in the Peak District, clean-up beaches along the 710 miles of coastline in our care, or fund specialist dust vacuums to clean our historic collections, there is sure to be a unique project that will suit your interests.
For more information please contact Aletta Welensky on 01793 818 576 or aletta.welensky@nationaltrust.org.uk
Thank You
Without the support of donors like you the National Trust would not be able to do so much of its work, you have saved priceless works of art and breathtaking landscapes for the nation, and your continued support enables us to care for them. Thank you.
