'The loveliest spot that man hath ever found...'

Not our words but those of William Wordsworth -  we are rather inclined to agree with him.

The welcoming village of Grasmere is nestled with its two picturesque lakes amongst a dramatic backdrop of Lakeland fells. It's the perfect place to come explore, relax, reflect and be inspired.

Visitors to the Vale of Grasmere are spoiled with a unique combination of awe-inspiring natural beauty, high adventure and a wealth of cultural heritage to enjoy. Once home to many of the Lakeland poets, this area has a rich history that is still honoured today through local artists, writers and food producers.

The varied landscape is accommodating to outdoor enthusiasts and intrepid explorers of all levels, be it a relaxing stroll and a picnic around the shores of Grasmere or a hike to the summit of Helm Crag for a taste of the high mountains, or fantastic views of the lush green valleys and glistening lakes below.
