At Hardcastle Crags there are lots of opportunities for learning (and having fun!) whatever the age of your group members. We are open throughout the year and work with schools, colleges, university and a wide variety of community groups.

To help you get the most from your trip to Hardcastle Crags, we encourage group leaders to make a FREE preliminary visit.

Our Hazard Information Sheet and Information for Group Leaders will also help with your planning.

Schools

We can offer activities to suit a range of ages and abilities from KS1 to KS4, whether you stay for a couple of hours or a full day.

 

Colleges and universities

Studying renewable energy or sustainability? Tourism or heritage management?

If you are planning a visit for a group or looking for a case study for project work, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

Community groups

Hardcastle Crags lies within walking distance of Hebden Hey Scout Centre, so is an ideal place to visit during your stay. Why not take a tour of Gibson Mill, do some geocaching or try out our orienteering course?
