Algie surveying the frosty view at Hardcastle Crags

Here at Hardcastle Crags there are 400 acres of woodland so there's plenty of space and terrain for walking, running, orienteering, geocaching or beautiful spots to simply rest and take in the view. Try a downloadable walk from the link below or scroll down for running trails.

Running our paths and trails lifts your spirits, whether it's a lung-busting sprint along the Estate track, or a gentler pace along the riverside. Make your own route or download one tried and tested by local runners and their furry companions : Heptonstall Moor Run , Shackleton Moor and Walshaw Run , Crimsworth Dean Run or Blake Dean Run

Ultra Run Challenge

Hardcastle 24, in partnership with Team OA Ltd, returns on 9 and 10 May 2015. It's a great weekend, full of challenges and triumphs. This year you can choose between a 6, 12, or 24 hour challenge. Make a full weekend of the experience with a team of friends - whether for a charitable cause or just to see "if you can" - you won't regret it.
