A tranquil woodland garden, surrounded by parkland, with a delightful walled garden at its heart.

Enjoy this informal garden as it comes alive in spring, snowdrops and cyclamen lead the way and are soon followed by the vibrant colour of rhododendrons, magnolias, and azaleas. The walled garden with its white borders are best in late summer, the perfect place for a picnic, croquet or giant dominoes. The garden is open from 1 March 2015, so why not call and see us soon. Whether you are a returning visitor or if it's your first time, you will be assured a warm welcome.

Summer Fun

Enjoy one of our giant games in the Walled Garden at Hare Hill

Make the most of long lazy days with a picnic, followed by a game of croquet. Take a look at the newly planted white borders in the walled garden. Let our hare trail lead you round the woodland paths, and discover our newest hare sculpture.

Meet Ranger Jack

Ranger Jack Amos and his team of enthusiastic volunteers look after the glorious Hare Hill parkland. You can find out more about the life of a National Trust Ranger, and volunteering, on a special walk with Jack round the estate on 23 September.

Visit Alderley Edge

Stormy Point offers a clear vantage point over the Cheshire Countryside

Alderley Edge is only a couple of miles from Hare Hill, yet it offers you something totally different.

The woodland walks are lovely and on a clear day the views over the Cheshire Plain are great.

Hares of Hare Hill

Visitors are always looking out for hares when they visit, but these shy creatures are not often to be found.

However, there's a good chance you'll see some next time. They're carved from wood but they're fun to find.
