The tea-room

After a long walk around the park or as a rest stop between rooms, come and find our friendly, homely tea-room. Situated in our courtyard, on the site of the old kitchen, you can enjoy great food indoors and out.
What's cooking

There’s plenty to choose from, enjoy hot and wholesome soups and jackets or light bites including sandwiches and paninis, washed down with a cold glass of wine, beer or cider. Or you can just stop by for a coffee and a slice of cake.
The munch-buggy

If you’re out in the parkland and don’t want to come back to the house for lunch you might see our munch-buggy on its route around the parkland. Selling drinks and snacks, keep an eye out for it near our picnic areas.

Local produce

Our shop stocks a number of locally produced items including these delicious ales from The Hogs Back Brewery in Farnham and fine red wine from Denbies Vineyards in Dorking.
Musical mementos
If you loved the Cobbe Collection of keyboard instruments you can find a host of CDs in our shop. Music by these great composers was specially produced for us using the actual instruments in this amazing collection.
Courtyard history
The courtyard houses our shop and tearoom but originally this area provided vital services to the household. It was home to the kitchen, stables, servants' quarters, coach house and laundry, overlooked by the clocktower.
Picnics
Want to bring your own food? There are picnic areas with benches provided throughout the estate, or you can just throw your rug down on the parkland, break out the hamper and enjoy the surroundings.
Food events
Come to Hatchlands and satisfy the foodie in you. There'll be demonstrations, talks and tastings to make your mouth water and delicious fresh produce to satisfy your stomach at food related events throughout the year.
