Hidden treasures

Because our house functions as a family home, some of our objects are stored away or out on loan to other places. For rarely viewed items from behind the scenes take a look at the national inventory of collections.

Community work

At Hatchlands we're working in partnership with Grace and Flavour, a not-for-profit co-op of residents in the local villages of East and West Horsley.

We’re delighted that in 2011, the Brown family became proud plot holders of our 1,000th allotment.

It’s not just our furniture and objects that need careful care and attention during the winter, the rooms themselves need looking after too.

We work hard to maintain a stable, pest free environment ensuring the safety of the house and our collections.

Behind the scenes in the parkland

With 400 acres of gardens and parkland to care for there's lots of essential work that goes on behind the scenes throughout the year.

Find out what we do and how it helps ensure a bright future for the garden and park.

Volunteering

We couldn't run Hatchlands successfully without the work of our amazing volunteers. It's a great way to make friends, stay active or gain experience and we're always looking for additions to the team.
