Professional courses

Hatfield Forest is unique due to the continuity of its management over the last 1000 years. It has become an increasingly rare refuge for many threatened species which have evolved with it.

Of particular interest are the many veteran trees and the diversity of wildlife which they support. We undertake many different types of specialist tree management, with a long and proven track record of best practice, matched with excellent results.

To pass on the knowledge gained here and at similar sites, we offer professional courses facilitated by speakers who are leading experts in their field these include Pro Natura,Urban Forestry and BREXCO. The courses are aimed at those involved with veteran tree care such as countryside managers, arborists, advisors, countryside managers and rangers who care for veteran trees and woodland.

The learning environment is always friendly and informal, involving a healthy mix of academic and field sessions which always stimulate some good discussion.
