Explore our countryside on foot

Walking bliss

Step out and discover our colourful maze of blissful footpaths. There’s something for everyone from our Lizard trail to hikes to Box Hill and beyond along the North Downs Way. Most of our paths are clearly marked but an Ordnance Survey map (Landranger 187 or Explorer 146) might be useful.

Lizard trail

Pick up a leaflet from our main car park and follow the orange-tipped posts. This walk (3km) is great for families - the kids will enjoy helping mum and dad to find the way…

Hike to Box Hill

Hike to Box Hill and back again - this demanding, strenuous, circular hike across Headley Heath and Box Hill is eight miles (13km). It should take around four hours but allow more time for rest stops.

North Downs Way

Walk from Headley and join the North Downs Way - follow the signposts along the chalk ridge. Why not head east and walk to Reigate Hill...
