We have over 100 dedicated volunteers who all help give visitors a great day out.
If you think you have skills that may be useful here or just want to try something new and would like to join our friendly team, drop us an email or give us a call on 01386 438333.
A rewarding experience
I've been surprised by the huge variety of volunteering roles that go into making Hidcote work. You can play a part in just about anything, from gardening to helping in the shop. I feel the benefits. It's a really worthwhile pastime and sociable too.
What's in it for you?
- Get involved in the care of one of the country's finest gardens
- Pick up expert hints and tips from our gardeners
- Join in on social events, like our annual day out
- Get a copy of the volunteers' newsletter, Hidcote Life
- Browse through a gardener's resource library, compiled by Fred Whitsey
Help bring the garden to life by answering questions, giving talks or simply pointing out what's in flower.
Help us to complete projects in the garden by selling raffle tickets. Will you sell the winning ticket?
Meet and greeter
Point visitors in the right direction and be that friendly, welcoming face.
Take part in one or both of the two working holidays we run each year. Pitch in to blitz the weeds in the Stream Garden or help us with one of our restoration projects.
Bring the whole team at your workplace along for a team-building day in the garden. Pack your wellies and waterproofs, and come prepared to get stuck in and learn some garden tips.
Interested? Drop us an email and we'll do the rest.
Thinking of volunteering? If the answer is 'yes' you might like to join a local supporter group. Supporter groups not only promote our work but they make membership and volunteering more rewarding. Make friends, share interests, go on day trips and enjoy a varied programme of events. There's almost certainly a supporter group near you.
