Though the flowers and allotments slumber for winter, our walled garden has so many interesting things to see that it's well worth a visit, so do come along and see for yourself. It's just a ten minute walk or a short ride on our buggy to discover the delights of this ancient garden and enjoy its wildlife. Find out more about this garden throughout the year.

There are many interesting plants and lovely scenes that you can see at different times of the year here so we asked our team of gardeners if they could point a few special ones out. It was a very difficult task for them because there are so many! We've collected a few must see plants and things to look out for and we're sure you will be enchanted with all of them.

The Stumpery

The stumpery covers the full length of the garden below the Italianate garden terrace. It makes for a most peaceful and enchanting walk and is great for imaginative children .
