There are about 900 acres of parkland at Ickworth with marked parkland walks across the estate. Highlights in the park include our deer herd and our veteran trees, one of which is more than 700 years old.

There are 600 acres of woodland at Ickworth that are carefully managed by the forestry team. You can follow one of our woodland walks and visit one of our many woods.

Two lakes, more than twenty ponds and a river create a diverse wetland habitat network at Ickworth. These waterways provide a home for many species of wildlife. Why not visit the Fairy Lake or stroll along the River Linet?

Ickworth is one of the top sites for bats in the UK. It's home to half of Britain’s bat species. Bats love our varied habitats, which provide insects for food and places to roost. Join one of our evening bat walks to find out more.

The range of habitats at Ickworth means our estate is home to an array of birds. You can spy red-legged partridges, pheasants and thrushes in the park alongside woodpeckers, owls and treecreepers in the woods. Look out for herons, mallards and moorhens in the wetlands.
