Kingston Lacy CL caravan site
A quiet site offering five large pitches all of which are hard standing, have electrical hook up and foot access to fresh water and waste disposal.
The site is set in the parkland with views across rolling countryside, often with Red Ruby Devon Cattle grazing the fields. Kingston Lacy house is a short walk from the site using a designated footpath across the fields; this also takes you to the National Trust shop and restaurant through the formal gardens.
Perfectly positioned within the 8,500 acres of Kingston Lacy's estate which is dominated by the ancient Iron Age hill fort of Badbury Rings and encompasses Holt Wood, Holt Forest, Holt Heath and Eyebridge. Each of these has its own habitat and particular animal species and offer many opportunities for walks. Nearby visit White Mill; a corn mill, still with its original wooden machinery, set on the River Stour between the villages of Sturminster Marshall and Shapwick. The mill is open for visitors at the weekends and bank holidays (March to November).
A great base to explore the rural beauty of Dorset, why not go fossil hunting or explore the romantic ruins of Corfe Castle. Go for a wander at Lulworth Cove or visit the golden, sheltered beach and fascinating sand dunes at Studland. For all your supplies, Bournemouth and Poole are only a short distance away and the site is perfectly located for catching the ferry from Poole to the Channel Islands and France.
Walking access to the gardens is available during usual opening times. We ask that you do not enter the grounds outside of these times.
Please note that this caravan site is reserved for Caravan Club members.
