It has something for everyone, including picturesque cottages, a ford for little toes to splash in and views of traditional English countryside.

Unpack your picnic on the benches in the grass area opposite the entrance to the museum and abbey. You can picnic here all year round.

From 1 April to 31 October, enjoy a picnic in the abbey grounds. Bring along a rug and find a good spot. Our only ask is that you picnic in suitable grassed areas and take your rubbish home.
