The causeway

Getting to Holy Island is always an adventure.

To get here there is only one road and that is covered twice a day by the North Sea. About 3 miles of road can be covered by the tide, but coming by car is still the easiest and most common way of visiting. Please check the safe crossing times before visiting.

Bus to Holy Island

Perryman's buses run the 477 service to Holy Island. Although not a regular service, this can be the best way to get to the Island if you do not have access to a car.
