Try something completely different on the Lizard this year with one of our activity providers. Check out our watersports page for information and suggestions and see the Lizard from a whole new perspective. We can offer kayaking, coasteering and of course surfing for all abilities.
There are loads of opportunities to get your bikes out and get muddy on the Lizard. We're currently working on new cycling networks across the peninsula to add to the existing routes. These include linking up with the exciting developments at nearby Penrose.
We'll be formalising this soon, making it safer for more people to enjoy spending time on their bikes with us. Look our for our cycling maps and guides, coming soon, but in the meantime check out the Sustrans page.
But we want to go now...
If you're arriving on holiday and realise you've forgotten your bike, or you want to go on a great guided ride tailored to your ability, check out our partners at Porthleven Cycle Hire.
Rockpooling and Snorkelling
At low tide some of our beaches reveal a fantastically diverse rocky shore. These provide perfect habitats for the local marine wildlife and budding rockpool enthusiasts. We recommend the low tide pools around Polpeor, Poldhu and Dollar Coves where you can see everything from anemones to star fish.
For those of us who like to get into the water, the snorkelling at Poltesco can provide fantastic opportunities to share the cove with dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks and seals as you weave your way through the kelp forests on a calm summers day.
Please take care when taking part in any of these activities. For your own safety and for that of the marine life, please stick to the seashore code and never take anything other than litter away from the beaches.
