Peak District Ranger Team

Our team

In the Peak District we have a wide range of varied roles to cover our vast estate and the many things we do here, including moorland conservation and restoration, education groups & learning centres, shops and tea-rooms, accommodation, our annual events programme, tree safety work, dry stone walling, fence building and much more.

Longshaw Documentary

Made by Salford University student, Sebastian Narbutas, this short film about the Longshaw estate is a great portrayal of the area and our work. It features Chris Millner, Longshaw's Area Ranger, talking about the work they do.

Planting memorial trees

Longshaw is a wonderful place and a lot of people choose to donate money to the estate in return for the planting and maintenance of a tree in memory of a loved one. Email us to arrange a planting.

Mark Bull is a National Trust Ranger in the Peak District. Sometimes he wonders whether he should have gone to university, but he's enjoyed this job for 25 years, so unless he suddenly gets the opportunity to become a professional cricketer, he intends to keep on doing it.
