An unforgettable experience

It’s hard to imagine anywhere more memorable to stay than Shute Barton, a luxurious medieval manor house complete with battlements, turrets and gothic windows.

The amazing accommodation includes the medieval great hall on the top floor and a bedroom with late 17th-century painted panelling. Explore the Great Kitchen, believed to contain the largest fireplace in England, and admire the beautiful 15-foot-high medieval window.

Outside, the garden includes lawns, ideal for croquet or tennis, an old orchard and distant views towards the sea at Seaton.

The house sits behind a very imposing gatehouse entrance in the village of Shute on the edge of the Axe Valley.
