Xplorer family orienteering

Will you be able to complete the trail using your orienteering skills?

Will you be able to complete the trail using your orienteering skills?

Xplorer is a free, fun challenge for families to do together, getting out and active, exploring the park and learning too! Follow a simple Lyme Park map to find the markers and learn about trees, flowers and British wildlife. There is a 15-point simple challenge for younger children and a 10-point slightly more challenging course for older children. The routes change each month, so do come back to try a different one. As part of the sports project funded through Sport England, Lyme Park will be hosting Xplorer events on the first Saturday of every month.

50 things fun

Lots of the 50 things activities can be done all year round. Why not try our 50 things garden trail? Try flying a kite on the top lawn, playing pooh sticks or climb trees in the new family garden area.

Crow wood

How high can you climb?

The kids can let off steam in Crow Wood playscape with its giant slide, badger den and rope walks for children aged 5-12. There is also a high level walkway, sandpit and a tree house with a fireman’s pole.
