Explore a Rich History
Lyveden's history dates as far back as Roman Britain, through the construction of the Bield by Sir Thomas Tresham, all the way to the current work of the National Trust, preserving and presenting Lyveden New Bield for everyone to enjoy.
Lyveden has a strong historical connection with Coughton Court.
Thomas Tresham married Muriel Throckmorton. The Throckmortons were the owners of Coughton Court at that time, and remain so to this day.
