How the money will be spent

All of the sponsorship money you raise on behalf of the National Trust will go towards funding a project or a property of your choice. If you would like anymore information please ask our events team.

Below are some examples of what your sponsorship money could support:

  • £5 a meter for standard stock fencing (flat ground)
  • £10 a meter for a new hedge
  • £20 a meter for stock fencing (steep ground)
  • £30 – £60 to frame a watercolour painting
  • £30 to £250 - Tree planting - costs range per tree to plant, guard and maintain
  • £150 for a meter for a dry stone wall
  • £150 pays for a countryside kissing-gate
  • £200 is the cost of printing and setting up 2-3 site interpretations with 'real' objects
  • £200-250 to buy a registered in foal Dartmoor Pony from the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust to graze in hand conservation land (save the breed and help conservation of coastal SSSIs)
  • £200-£500 to acquire small display cabinets - antique and suitable for use in show rooms
  • £400 - Framed engraved map by Thomas Bewick c.1785
  • £500-£700 - Lighting for small display cabinets - fibre optics, LEDs or other heat-free types
  • £1,000 pays for a day's professional photography in a collection, providing images which we otherwise wouldn't have for use in publications and lectures
