Voluntary Talks Service

The National Trust has a group of enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer speakers. They are available to give illustrated talks to groups of all sizes.

Talks can cover many different aspects of the Trust's work, from the Neptune Coastline Campaign to garden history, conservation, individual properties and the Trust's work in your region - among other things. Talks can also be tailored to meet your particular interests.

There is no set fee, but we ask groups to cover the cost of our volunteers' expenses, and welcome donations, usually of around £1 for each member of the audience, to help us continue our work.

To book a talk or to find out more about the Voluntary Talks Service, contact the Talks Service Co-ordinator at your nearest National Trust regional office.

We will try to answer you enquiry as soon as possible, but because much of the Talks Service is looked after by volunteers and part-time staff, please allow one to two weeks for a response.

If you think you too could enthral a group with your speaking skills and enthusiasm for the Trust's work, and you would like to become one of our voluntary speakers, please contact us for more details on the Talks Service in your region.
