What's new this year
The construction of a new fishing quay at Brancaster Staithe and associated interpretation on the local fishing industry, funded by Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, East of England Development Agency and King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council

Points to noteA private ferry runs from Burnham Overy Staithe (weather permitting) taking visitors to the internationally important Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve, managed by Natural England (tel. 01485 210515). Scolt Head NNR is an important breeding site for four species of tern, oystercatcher and ringed plover. Please note that it can be dangerous to walk over the saltmarsh and sandflats, especially at low tide. Ferry, tel. 01485 210456. No WC, local authority maintained WC at Beach Road, Brancaster
