Lanhydrock earns assistance dog award October 2008
Lanhydrock has won an award for service excellence from assistance dog users in the UK. Severely deaf Wayne Hurren and his hearing dog Donna presented the award to The National Trust at Lanhydrock House in Bodmin
Hunt for Cornwall's great trees October 2008
On Monday 20 October Cornwall’s Great Tree Hunt was launched at the National Trust’s Lanhydrock Estate to encourage local people to hunt down and record the Great Trees of Cornwall. This forms part of the three-year ‘Great Trees Project’ to safeguard the future of the county’s ancient and significant trees.
Devon and Cornwall producers win food awards October 2008
At the beginning of October the National Trust announced its Fine Farm Produce Awards for 2008. Five products have received the award in Devon and Cornwall, four from a tenanted farm in the Tamar Valley and one from the Killerton Estate near Exeter.
