Celebrate your home-grown seasonal produce by entering Calke Abbey's first fruit, vegetable and flower show, to be held on Saturday 27 September from 11am to 4pm.
Show off your brilliant beans, amazing apples, peculiar parsnips and fabulous flowers! Meet some local food producers and pick up some culinary tips from Calke's chefs.
Where our food comes from is important to us at National Trust, and Calke Abbey is one of many properties that uses locally grown produce in the restaurant. Local seasonal and fresh food is rewarding and healthy to grow, so why not have a go and enter the competition?
How to enter
There's a wide variety of classes to enter, suitable for adults and children, from 'Favourite flower' to 'Heaviest onion' and 'Four apples on a plate'.
For a full list of categories and more details of how to enter please email thecalkeshow@nationaltrust.org.uk or write to Calke Abbey, Ticknall, Derbyshire DE73 7LE (please mark the envelope Calke Show), or download the application form (word doc).
