We celebrate food at The National Trust, with the aim of inspiring our supporters to eat local, sustainable and seasonal food at our properties and at home.
Our catering teams are behind the campaign for locally sourced, seasonal food. From the award-winning Dunwich tea-rooms on the Suffolk coast, to the elegant Carriage House Restaurant of Felbrigg Hall in north Norfolk; at every National Trust catering outlet across the East of England you'll find a welcoming spot to stop for anything from a cup of tea to a three-course meal knowing that the food is fresh, seasonal and local.

Luckily for us some of our chefs have generously shared one or two of their favourite recipes for us to try at home. Check out these recipes.

Ickworth farmer’s continuing success with expanding sales of Estate lamb |
The success story of Paul Seabrook, sheep farmer at the Ickworth Estate near Bury St Edmunds, continues to grow with the establishment of direct sales of lamb that have been born and reared on the Trust parkland.
Paul is providing meat to an increasing number of local buyers, including the luxury hotel located in the East wing of Ickworth House. His business has gone from strength to strength after he was granted a Higher Level Scheme agreement in late 2006,which means he can manage the historically important parkland of Ickworth with maximum environmental and agricultural benefit.
It is hoped that by the end of the year Ickworth lamb will be on sale across the region.
