West Surrey Centre was founded in 1969 and has more than 1,500 members. It covers an extensive area of west Surrey, roughly bounded by Farnham, Weybridge, Esher, Leatherhead, Cranleigh and Godalming, and includes the towns and surrounds of Guildford, Woking, Farnborough and Aldershot.
It exists for those who wish to derive more pleasure from their National Trust membership by enjoying a variety of visits to properties, gardens and other places of interest, lectures, concerts, holidays and many other social activities. At the same time these activities help to raise money to support National Trust projects.
The West Surrey Centre is run autonomously by a Management Committee, with supporting area committees, which co-ordinates the business of the Centre and produces a newsletter three times a year, together with a comprehensive programme of events each spring and autumn.
