    Chesney’s and the National Trust

Over the past 25 years Chesney’s has become widely recognised as the country’s leading supplier of quality fireplaces.

This reputation has been achieved by a rigorous and uncompromising commitment to the finest craftsmanship and integrity of design.

In association with the National Trust, Chesney’s has now applied the same values to the development of a unique range of multi-fuel stoves. The new stoves from Chesney’s are dependable, ultra efficient, environmentally friendly, easy to use and great to look at.

Chesney’s and the National Trust are both firmly committed to the protection of the environment and committed to promoting the need to combat climate change and make the best use of energy resources. Chesney’s new range of stoves delivers outstanding efficiency and produces very low emissions using a clean burning technique for cleaner air and enhanced energy conservation.

The clean-burn and air-wash technology which Chesney’s stoves use means that the polluting by-products emitted by the initial burning are re-ignited and burnt again in the stove. This double combustion substantially reduces emissions and contributes to a cleaner, healthier environment and can be used in smoke control areas throughout the UK.

Following independent testing by Gastec, an independent energy and environmental testing company, the stoves achieved efficiency ratings of between 76 and 85 per cent for wood burning, which is outstandingly high. In addition to CE and HETAS approval for sale throughout the UK and Europe, the stoves are currently undergoing the most rigorous testing of all to achieve the status of 'exempt appliances'.This will mean that they can be used to burn wood in smoke controlled areas such as cities and towns and satisfy the growing demand for an environmentally sound source of heat in both urban and rural areas.

Using only the very best materials, including cast iron components produced in British foundries, the toughest ceramic glass and recycled steel, the stoves will provide a safe and dependable source of heat for years to come.

The collection of five stoves incorporates both traditional and contemporary styles: The Petworth, seen above and available in black and ivory, The Flatford, The Barrington and The Hampstead.
