My cards still haven't arrived, but I have my old (or temporary) ones. What do I do when I want to visit Trust properties?
If your membership card is lost or stolen please contact the Membership Department on 0844 800 1895 or by email: enquiries@thenationaltrust.org.uk for a replacement card to be issued.
If you arrive at a property without your card you will be asked to pay an admission fee, even if you have simply forgotten your card. Annual and life Member can however return their admission tickets in exchange for some National Trust vouchers, less an admin fee. Simply explain to the member of staff at the property that you are member but that you are without your card, and they will help you to complete a 'member without card claim form'
Once completed, the form is submitted to the Membership Department along with your admission tickets, for compensation in the form of National Trust gift vouchers to be issued. (Vouchers issued are to the nearest value of the standard admission paid, minus a £2 administration charge).

I have sent payment for my membership subscription, but have received reminders for payment from you. What should I do?
In some cases we have had problems applying cheque payments to individual members' records.
These problems are being rectified, but in the meantime the system is sending out automatic reminders.
Most affected members will be contacted directly about this, but if you are concerned you can call the Membership Department on 0844 800 1895 and ask for your record to be updated. (If you could have your cheque number, the date it was cashed, and the amount this would help us enormously).

Complaints
Our published complaints procedure can be used to register any dissatisfaction with our service, to raise any issue of policy, or to ask about any aspect of the Trust's activities.
You can of course always raise a query at the time when visiting a property and ask any member of staff for help or information. They will be glad to help if they possibly can. Our comments cards, often to be found within Trust restaurants or tea-rooms, are another good alternative. At property level these can often be responded to very quickly.
