The National Trust has selected a range of the most recent and authoritative reference books along with classic fiction and non-fiction titles from The Folio Society, a world renowned publisher of fine books.
The resulting National Trust Book Collection contains an extensive range for you to choose from.
The Folio Society
When Charles Ede founded The Folio Society over 50 years ago, his pledge was to publish ‘editions of the world’s greatest literature, in a format worthy of the contents, at a price within the reach of everyman’. This principle has provided the inspiration for The National Trust Book Collection’s association with The Folio Society.

The National Trust has chosen to work with The Folio Society because their books have the timeless appeal of superior craftsmanship. They are bound with traditional materials, including silk, leather and hand-marbled paper, and printed on special acid-free paper to ensure that they will last for generations.
Every volume has a proper sewn binding and is protected by a handsome, and durable, slipcase. Each book is individually illustrated either with contemporary prints, paintings and photographs, or with wood engravings, drawings, oil paintings and watercolours, many of them commissioned from leading artists.
