    Film & TV location hire

The National Trust location service is a one stop service allowing location managers direct access into all we have to offer.

You can now also access our extensive photo library online.

The success of the 2005 film 'Pride & Prejudice' has resulted in a massive increase in visitors to our Berkshire house, Basildon Park. This filming was the single biggest film shoot in National Trust history, resulting in the property being shut for 7 weeks. Proof that we are serious about filming.

However, our major presence in programmes such as 'Coast' and 'Springwatch' illustrates our ability to accommodate budgets both big and small.

Productions hosted in the last 12 months include ‘Jane Eyre’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age’, ‘Spooks’, ‘How we built Britain’ and ‘Doctor Who.’ We also work with magazines on photo shoots and have recently welcomed ‘Grazia’, ‘Vogue’ and ‘Tatler.’

    Archive

Over the years, the National Trust has commissioned and featured many factual films that reflect the work of the charity. These offer a fascinating insight into the National Trust but also reflect the social atmosphere of the times.

The archive includes shots of the innocence of the 1950s, people's leisure pursuits in the 1960s, and the environmental concerns of the 1970s.
