Favoured by kings, artists and politicians, much loved and carefully preserved through the centuries by one family, Ham House is an idyllic and historic setting. It provides stylish surroundings and a unique atmosphere for your wedding ceremony and reception.
On the right bank of the river Thames in close proximity to Richmond and Kingston-upon-Thames, with excellent transport links to central London, Ham House is unique in Europe as the most complete survival of 17th century fashion.

Built in 1610 it was enlarged in the 1670s by the Duke and Duchess of Lauderdale, when it was at the heart of Restoration court life. Thereafter it was occupied by the same family until 1948 when it was bequeathed to the National Trust.
The formal gardens are significant for their survival within the area known as the cradle of the English Landscape Movement and the 17th-century former Orangery, now converted into a restaurant and functions room, is the oldest free standing purpose built Orangery in England.
