    Holnicote House is leased from the National Trust as a hotel and is not open to non-residents.

    Any organised activity or event requires National Trust consent. Please contact us prior to planning your visit.

    WCs are located at Allerford, Bossington and Horner Car Parks (NT) and also at Selworthy Green (not NT).
     
    Dogs  Dogs
    Dogs welcome under close control. Must be on leads when on moorland and in woodland during the bird nesting season (April-July inclusive), and when near to livestock. Please clean up after your dog.
     
    Picnics  Picnic areas
    Plenty of places around the estate to throw down a rug and enjoy a picnic and a more formal picnic area, with picnic tables, at Bossington car park.
     
    Refreshments  Refreshments
    A variety of tea rooms to choose from, serving light lunches and teas, in the villages of Selworthy, Allerford, Bossington and Horner.

    Pubs in Porlock and Porlock Weir.

    Hindon Organic Farm shop, near Minehead and
    Dunster Castle National Trust gift shop, 5 miles east of Holnicote.

    A general information leaflet, 'Explore Holnicote', a pack of eight walks leaflets and other walks leaflets are available to buy at Selworthy tea rooms, local information centres and Holnicote estate office.

    Information panels are located at various points around the estate and at all car parks.
     
    Learning  Learning
    Curriculum-focused activities are available for all age ranges, including higher education groups. Work experience placements are also available. Booking is required for use of Piles Mill Study Centre. Please contact us for more information.
