Get back to nature with the National Trust by camping at one of our 50 camping or touring sites located on National Trust land throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Our camping and touring sites are located in some of the most beautiful areas of the UK and are a great base to explore nearby National Trust properties, countryside and coastline.
Pitch your tent at one of four picturesque lakeland campsites located in the depths of the Lake District National Park, ideal for exploring the lakes, mountains and fells in this spectaular area. Or if you are heading to the South West this summer, why not stay at one of our tranquil coastal campsites in Devon and Cornwall, a fantastic base to explore the surrounding coastline, beaches and wildlife. Or for a truly unique camping holiday, new this year are our wooden camping pods for a back to nature experience with a difference!
Use our search for camping and caravanning sites to help you plan your visit to a National Trust camping or touring site in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Please note:
- Some of our camping and touring sites are managed directly by us; some are leased to the Caravan Club; and others are provided by the Trust's tenant farmers.
- An indication of facilities, opening times, charges and any particular restrictions is given in the camping and caravanning search, but you should check with each site's specified contact for further details - especially if planning a recreational activity.
- Where dogs are welcomed, they are expected to be well-trained and on a lead. They should be exercised away from accommodation and dog waste should be disposed of responsibly.
- The Trust does not generally allow camping on non-recognised sites without permission. 'Wild camping', where permitted (for example in the Lake District, in upland areas above 450m), should be out of sight of the public highway, entail only one-night stopovers with a maximum of two campers and leave no trace of their presence.
