After hearing about the national Trust Ugly Veg Competition, an Australian Community Garden is to run their own.
Linda Parker, Garden Coordinator, Wauchope Community Garden, New South Wales, Australia.
'I am the Garden Coordinator of a Community Garden located on the mid-north coast of NSW, Australia. I am interested in running a similar competition locally, to stimulate interest in home-grown produce etc.'
After sending information we had this reply from Linda:
'We've decided to run with this theme to increase the profile of the Wauchope Community Garden, as it fits into our objectives quite nicely. I do hope you don't mind us 'colonials' stealing your ideas!'
We will follow her competition with interest!
