The Wild Cherry in the grounds of Studley Royal Water Garden, North Yorkshire, one of Britain’s largest wild cherries (Prunus avium). Studley Royal, a World Heritage Site, is arguably England’s most important 18th-century water garden. A highlight of the park, the Wild Cherry is 5.7m (18ft 8in) wide and is an amazing sight, especially when it’s in flower, even though it recently lost its top during a severe storm.
