The National Trust Travel Fellowship (previously called the Arkell Fellowship) was established on the recommendation of John Arkell in his 1983 report for the National Trust.
The Report advocated that we create a Fellowship to enable people between the ages of 18 and 35 to spend up to a month in an appropriate country studying an alternative approach to heritage protection.
