The School Arts Partnership programme promotes equal opportunities and inter-community relations, education and learning in both the arts and our heritage. Most importantly it can be a challenging, rewarding and fun experience for the children and young people taking part.
The aims of the programme are:
- To promote cross-community links between pupils and families of different cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds.
- To encourage a sense of ownership of our heritage and countryside properties by local communities.
- To encourage new audiences into the arts and heritage field.
- To support the national curriculum and the wider social curriculum with interesting, relevant and enjoyable activities.
- To develop a wider appreciation of our built and natural heritage among school pupils.
