You sent me some great pictures of castles for last year's Trust Tracks castle competition. I'm sorry it's taken me a while to get them up on my web site, but with the weird weather we've been having I've been trying to decide whether or not to hibernate!

I love Dunster Castle, especially the walks in the garden and grounds. Over the old stone bridge and down to the water mill. It is a great place to visit for kids. To make it even better would be a day when you can dress up as soldiers and run around the garden.
From Gabby, age 11, Hyde, Cheshire I love Chirk Castle because it was my first time at a National Trust building in Wales. It was at Easter and there was an egg hunt in the garden. The garden is BEAUTIFUL!. It's HUGE and excellent. The castle has a lot of interesting history behind it. I prefer all the little nooks and crannies, perfect for hiding and scaring your dad, hee, hee, hee! |
