No other mammal can roll into a ball as well as me! I can stay like that for hours. Hedgehogs have lots of fleas - but they only live on us, not on you! Grown-up hedgehogs have about 5,000 spines.
My droppings are very black and crinkly. You might see wing cases of beetles I've eaten in them. Hedgehog picture. I have a great sense of smell and use my nose more than my eyes to find my way around.
My legs are longer than you think - I can dig, climb, swim, and if I have to I can run fast. I eat lots of slugs - up to 40 a night. I also like beetles, worms and caterpillars.
