The National Trust's collections contain literally thousands of Bibles, ranging from manuscripts and early printed editions, through to standard 18th and 19th century editions.
Even the later editions often of considerable interest; in some cases rare or bibliographically illustrated, and in many others inscribed or in fine bindings.
The largest and finest collection is at Blickling Hall in Norfolk, which has copies of practically all the major editions of the Bible printed since 1475, including Polyglot Bibles, Bibles in exotic languages, and even the covetable Eliot Indian Bible, printed at Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1663.
