The walls of the Study at Bateman's, one time home of Rudyard Kipling, in East Sussex. The walls are lined with books and on the desk is a large tobacco jar, a bone crocodile and a wooden box. The box is decorated in gesso with oak and ash leaves, inscribed with a quotation from 'Puck of Pook's Hill'.
