About the group
Our Centre was founded in 1968 as the Exeter City group, before becoming the Exeter and District Centre in 1979 and now has more than 600 members.
We are a ‘supporter club’ for the National Trust and provide a programme of outings, social events. holidays and talks to enhance National Trust membership and at the same time raise funds for the National Trust, which we can allocate to chosen projects. Two major recipients in recent years have been Killerton and Clyston Mill – our home properties at which some of our members are volunteers.
Our constitution is based on the standard National Trust model and our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our Annual General Meeting held each March
