Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
The West Devon Association was founded in 1979 and has a membership of over 200, mostly derived from the market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton. The River Tamar forms our western boundary with Plymouth City boundary to the south. The towns of Winkleigh, Holsworthy and Torrington fall into our northern catchment area whilst the Dartmoor National Park bounds our eastern fringes.
Many of our members are actively involved in volunteering at Finch Foundry, Buckland Abbey and Lydford Gorge. Castle Drogo is nearby and in recent years we have made substantial contributions towards projects at Tyntesfield, Greenway, Finch Foundry and Godolphin.
