The West Devon Association was established in 1979 and has a membership of more than 250. A voluntary body, independent of the National Trust, we endeavour to support the National Trust locally by raising funds through a programme of events and activities, both to enrich members’ understanding of its work and to provide a point of social contact.
Geographically, the West Devon area covers the western fringes of the Dartmoor National Park and is centred on the thriving and rapidly growing towns of Tavistock and Okehampton. The River Tamar forms our western boundary with Plymouth city boundary to the south. The towns of Winkleigh, Holsworthy and Torrington fall into our northern catchment area.
What’s in it for you? If you are supportive of the work of the National Trust, you too can participate in the local effort to make a difference in financial terms whilst enjoying the social aspects of membership.
