We provide a varied programme of talks during the winter months usually at Sourton Village Hall (just south of Okehampton) which is fairly central to our ‘territory’. Summer is usually given over to outings to various properties (including non- National Trust properties). At Lydford Gorge, fund-raising and social events, such as the well-attended members’ lunch are a popular feature of our calendar.

Many of our members provide volunteer support to properties in the area of which there are four – Buckland Abbey, near Yelverton, Lydford Gorge, equidistant from Tavistock and Okehampton, Finch Foundry and Castle Drogo, both near Okehampton. Over the years we have made substantial contributions towards various projects undertaken by these properties as well as donations to properties outside the area such as Tyntesfield, H.M.S Cambridge near Wembury, Greenway, Polesden Lacey and Killerton.
